Gerald McCoy released by Tampa, Where will he land?

Earlier this week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mutually parted ways with long-time captain and longtime defensive tackle Gerald McCoy after not being able to find a trade partner to trade him to in the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft. McCoy, now in the twilight of his career, wants to sign with a Super Bowl contender and win a championship before he retires. I've come up with 3 teams that have a need on the defensive line, while also fitting McCoy's need for a contender.

The New England Patriots

The Patriots should definitely be interested in signing McCoy just as much as McCoy should be in signing with them. Fresh off yet another Super Bowl win, The Pats are going to go into the season as the favorite to win again. McCoy should be very interested in working with defensive mastermind Bill Belichick. McCoy would also be an immediate upgrade over recently signed Danny Shelton. McCoy may need to leave some money on the table in order to sign with New England, but this could be a perfect match.

The Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have garnered a ton of buzz this off-season after a quick turnaround in 2018 and making it to the divisional round of the playoffs. The Colts also possess the most money to spend on McCoy out of all the teams. McCoy would also be a perfect fit in a Colts locker room that emphasizes on getting good guys on and off the field. If McCoy is looking for playing time and a potentially large amount of money, Indy might be the move.

The Cleveland Browns
While this isn't necessarily a move Cleveland needs to make, it's one i'm sure teams would not be surprised if the Browns ended up doing anyway. If you put McCoy on a defensive line that already has Myles Garret, Sheldon Richardson and Olivier Vernon, that's immediately the best d-line in football and is a nightmare for offenses throughout the AFC. It seems like Cleveland has been trying to make all of the flashy, big name signings all off-season and this is just another one that should be tempting for Cleveland.
