Teams that should trade up/down at the draft

With the draft fast approaching, some teams find themselves in the peculiar position. Should they try to trade up and grab that prospect that would be perfect for their team? Or do they decide to trade back, grab some extra picks and hope that the guy they want is still there when they make their next pick? These are the moves that can make or break a draft class and these are moves that happen constantly at every draft. Here are some teams that I expect to be active in the first round of the draft.

The Washington Redskins

Washington wants a QB, Case Keenum has shown flashes of being a serviceable QB but I don't believe Owner Dan Snyder wants to go into the new season with Keenum under center. They unfortunately sit outside the top 10 where most of the better QBs are expected to be selected. I fully expect Washington to make a move to get inside the top ten to grab one of them. I would look at teams like Detroit or Buffalo, who already have QBs as potential trade partners. They would have to probably give up a 2nd rounder, either this years or a 2020 2nd rounder but this deal could definitely be done.

The Oakland Raiders

When you think of teams that will make some noise come draft night, The Oakland Raiders should be one of those teams you think of. With three 1st round picks this year, Oakland can go a lot of different directions. Experts still haven't ruled out them trading some of those picks to Arizona for the 1st overall pick! but I believe more realistically they could trade one of those picks and gather even more picks. They could also be one of the teams that trade back with a team that wants to move up and draft a quarterback.

The Pittsburgh Steelers

I'm very confident that Pittsburgh, who isn't known for being active in draft day trades, will be trying to jump in front of division rival Cincinnati to draft LB Devin Bush. Bush was projected a lot to Pittsburgh earlier in the draft process but Bush has worked his way up to a top ten selection so it's very unlikely that he would fall to Pittsburgh. This is a situation where this prospect would be perfect for Pittsburgh's defense.
